A philanthropic 10-year-old boy named Evan is melting hearts everywhere after his series of handwritten letters to a local cat rescue went viral.

Evan adopted his kitty, Macha, from the City Kitties shelter in Philadelphia. Evan was so grateful for Macha that he decided to share the love with the other strays at City Kitties.

Each year Evan sends the shelter his allowance money with a hand written letter. Evan's parents have even started to match his donations. This year Evan saved $110 for the shelter.
