Dear Bob,

I listen to your show every day on my way to work, and usually I am laughing along with you.  However, at least once a week I find myself utterly disgusting with the way you handle yourself.  You claim to be a conservative, family oriented guy, you obviously love your wife and your kids, as well as your coworkers and that is great.  Sometimes, you become a huge bully.  You will not listen to others opinions or here their side, you beat them down until they agree with you.  You force them to do things they don't want to do (i.e. Erica and Breeze and the Octogon). You told Breeze that he was being a "pansy-ass" because he wouldn't go out with a girl while he is in a committed, though long distance, relationship. Would you say the same for a woman who's husband or significant other is serving overseas? You made PB and Breeze subject themselves to kissing each other or other coworkers for entertainment value, knowing that they are in relationships.  It's disrespectful to their partners. You refuse to accept that you are sometimes, teribbly wrong about things and it is honestly a little disgusting.  Not only that, but there are time when your misogynistic ignorance astounds me.  You recently did a skit called "Black Bob at the Movies" which was extremely racist and insensitive.  Why couldn't it just be a funny voice? Why did it have to be a Black person that sounded uneducated? You treat Erica and PB as though they are beneath you, and recently stated that they would use their bodies to get what they wanted.  I am no feminist, but that is absolutely ridiculous for you to assume that since SOME women have no respect for themselves that ALL women (especially the ones who work with) have no respect for themselve.  It is not okay to tell someone who is stating that they don't act a certain way, that they are a representative of a generalized and stigmatized group that they strive to be the difference in.  There is no reason for your constant regurgitations of privileged patriarchal norms and certainly no reason for your ignorance.  I don't know if you just play this character for the radio, but I seriously worry for your young girls if they are being raised to think that they need to use their bodies to get what they want, or that they deserve to be bullied by a man, and furthermore, that they should treat people with different skin colors and less than.  If you believe in the Lord, you know that Jesus preaches love, not hatefullness or ignorance.

Sincerely,

Rachel
