I am the girl who has jumped off the deep end and fallen in love with fashion. I love prancing around town in an outfit that fits my body and personality. You can find me on the clearance racks of H&M and Express (two of my fav stores) and at your local thrift store. I love fashion but not breaking my pockets, so I’m always on the hunt for deals and steals!

I am a lover of all things fabulous and fashionable (but affordable). In my former life I was either a major diva or sensational drag queen. Not quite sure of which one, but my love of MAC make-up, accessories, music, hair and need to overly exaggerate has followed me to this life. I am a chameleon, so my style and hair is always changing to fit my multiple personalities. I am a reality/sitcom TV and celebrity gossip junkie as well.
Tuesday, September 11th 2001 will forever be etched in our minds as one of the most tragic days in U.S. History. 12 years later all over the country we honor those innocent lives that were taken and our Armed Forces who protect our safety. Active Good a local non-profit hosted a dynamic day of service in Raleigh-Durham to commemorate 9/11. Some of the morning and afternoon activities consisted of serving food at the Raleigh Rescue Mission, beautifying the Ronald McDonald House of Durham, and building chicken coops at Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. At 6pm volunteers convened at the Activate Raleigh Evening Commemoration held at Red Hat Amphitheatre to complete more service projects and listen to local music artists.
I created holiday boxes at The Green Chair Project in Raleigh for the morning service project. The Green Chair Project is a remarkable organization that works with agencies to provide home furnishings for individuals starting over and working towards gaining self-sufficiency.
At the evening commemoration, I volunteered with 1 in 9 and sewed a pillow by hand for a cancer patient. I enjoyed using a skill taught to me by my mother and creating something that would provide comfort for someone battling the disease.
This day of service was simply amazing. Individuals of all ethnicities and professions came together to honor September 11th by joining the fight for sustainability in the lives of all living beings. I encourage all of you to visit Activate Good’s website and sign up to volunteer with one of their many community partners.

Activate Good will host its 5th Annual Couture for a Cause Fashion Show on November 9th at Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh. This is an event you do not want to miss. Do something for your community and enjoy the talents of local designers at the same time.
