Target went from partnering with Beyoncé on her last album (an exclusive Target release album with six additional tracks), to refusing to sell her newest album in stores.
Target spokeswoman Erica Julkowski explained to Billboard: "At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections."
