Sidney Lowe, former NC State player and head coach, was arrested in North Carolina
for failing to file his state income taxes for three years.

Lowe was a fan favorite as a player on the 1983 “Cardiac Pack” NCAA Championship team. He returned as Head Coach in 2006 and resigned five years later after never making the tournament as a head coach. He currently is an assistant coach in the NBA with the Utah Jazz.

Lowe failed to file his state income taxes from 2009-2011, his final three years as NC State’s head coach. He faces three misdemeanor counts and was released on a $10,000 bond.
