Ben Affleck’s biggest regret was his divorce from Jennifer Garner. He elaborated on that point on Good Morning America.
“I never thought that I was gonna get divorced. I didn’t want to get divorced. I didn’t want to be a divorced person. I really didn’t want to be a split family with my children,” the 47-year-old told Diane Sawyer. “And it upset me because it meant I wasn’t who I thought I was. And that was so painful and so disappointing in myself.”
Ben and Jen – who share 14-year-old Violet, 11-year-old Seraphina, and seven-year-old Samuel – broke up after 10 years of marriage in 2015. They filed for divorce two years later and everything was finalized in October 2018.
